Recreating the history of the prairie, the Buffalo Trails museum records local history from the lifestyles of its early Indian inhabitants to the later settlements of pioneers. The museum is located in Epping, 15 miles northeast of Williston in the northwestern corner of the state. It is located in seven historical buildings which contain artifacts, exhibits, dioramas and life-sized figures that convey the lives of the area's residents.
